EAU DE LA ROCHE, 2015
Faded newspaper, ink
Created during a residency in La Roche-en-Brenil, Burgundy, F.
The assumption that photography is the indexical light trace of an image-preliminary reality is the background of the works. Using water as a motif, I attempted to create a similarly immediate image - without a camera or photochemical processes: Newspaper (or skinned photographs) were soaked in water mixed with ink and then dried.
The use of water and newspaper (after the fading of texts and images) also addresses the relationship between nature and human culture.
