The starting point is a series of vacation snapshots from 1993. In 2004, the figures were cut out of the photo prints and remounted on blank supports. This resulted in positive-negative pairs, which were subsequently digitized. While reviewing my archive in 2024, I discovered that a large portion of the scans had been damaged, presumably due to a file error. Today, the discolored images are atmospherically closer to my memory than the original photographs. The work was both destroyed and continued as a result of the technical defect.
