TROOP, SOLDIERS, 240901, 2009–2024

Photographic works, stop-motion film with voiceover

The photographic works are based on images of soldiers—sourced from the internet or from a historical group photograph from World War II. Layers of the images were sculpturally removed or reinserted in different locations.

For 240901, the cover of a historic ceremonial cannon in Vardø, Norway, was animated. The video was projected onto the back of TROOP.
