Presentation at the end of the two-month residency scholarship from the Erich Hauser Art Foundation and SV Sparkassenversicherung
The stop-motion films were created at former execution sites of victims of the witch hunts in Nuremberg, Trondheim, Vardø, Lüneburg, and Rottweil. Chunks of earth, plants, found objects, and surfaces come to life. Whispering voices accompany them. Their texts are drawn from dreams. Photographic enlargements were made from individual film stills, sculpturally altered, and reused as printing blocks. In another video work, the resulting prints float above the floor as pictorial objects.
