UWOs (UNKNOWN OBJECTS OF VALUE) , 2002 - 2004
10 skinned photographs and 10 bronze objects specially made for each, video loop
The starting point consists of photographs of bank and insurance buildings. Parts of the architecture were peeled away from the photographs by making incisions with a scalpel into the surface of the images. Corresponding bronze objects were created for each of the resulting forms. In the video, the image fragments are set in virtual motion.
