ABOUT MY WORK
Photography alone is not enough for me. I use it as both material and subject matter.
I photograph places, bodies, and objects systematically, in long series—often thousands of shots. Sometimes historical, biographical, or social themes serve as the catalyst for this.
I treat the image as a substitute for the subject, even though it isn’t one. The prints are physically altered: peeled, ironed, soldered, dismantled, and reassembled—into objects, reliefs, printing blocks, and installations.
My videos and stop-motion films emerge from the same exploration of images and things.
